It costs $450 to $800 to get a puppy mill dog healthy enough to be adopted. All adopting homes give us an adoption donation, but that donation is usually not enough to cover the dog's medical expenses.

Fostering
If you are looking for a rewarding way to volunteer your time, share your love and home with an adorable Westie, and help families find the right pet for them, then you have come to the right place!! Fill out a foster home application today!
Fostering is both challenging and rewarding when you see a Westie in need of a new home find love and a new life in your care. Fostering involves homing a Westie until a permanent home is located, includes vet visits, socializing dogs with humans and other pets and providing a loving environment in which a rescued Westie can show it's wonderful personality. All medical care is taken care of by Westie Rescue of Missouri. The smiles of families as they adopt their new dog is truly an irreplaceable feeling as you help a dog and family find each other and start a new life. We need foster homes in MO, IL, IA and surrounding States.
If the thought of giving up a Westie to another family is too hard... please explore the wonderful Westies we have up for adoption and help by freeing up a foster home to take in another Westie in need by adopting!

Supplies are always needed to maintain a clean and healthy environment for rescue dogs while they are waiting to go to their forever homes. Our most pressing needs are for:
Dog Kennels
Dog Crates - medium and small
Dog Collars
Bedding Supplies
Dog Food
Heartgard Heartworm Protection
Frontline Flea and Tick Treatment
Medicated Shampoo
Plastic Gloves
Trash Bags
We also need volunteers to transport dogs and to organize fundraisers.
