We are excited to announce the newest aspect of Westie rescue
THE WESTIE EXPRESS.
Westie Rescue of Missouri, Inc. was set up to try and assist adopters with the transports of their rescue dogs. One of the greatest obstacles in placing these dogs has been coordinating the movement of the dogs outside our geographic boundaries.
THE WESTIE EXPRESS is a group of volunteers who are willing to donate a little bit of their time in order to bridge the mile gap to help adopting families reach their dog. By careful coordination and timing between adopting families and volunteers, WRM rescue dogs are able to get to their new homes safely.
With a nationwide network of foster homes and transporters, Missouri will be able to rescue more dogs. And, the transportation network will be available to any rescue group needing to transport a Westie to his or her new home.
The response to our initial request for volunteers has been remarkable. But, we need more people who are willing to help these little dogs get to their forever homes.
